High-end GPU chips are hot commodities

Generative artificial intelligence has certainly been one of the hottest topics in tech this year. In the industry, as a key component in artificial intelligence, high-performance computing and the development of large language models, the demand for GPU chips also continues to grow, becoming a valuable resource for artificial intelligence companies and even countries around the world to compete for. In particular, demand for server processors and coprocessors continues to rise as large enterprises move to hyperheterogeneous computing or adopt multiple coprocessors to optimize server configuration.

Among them, NVIDIA's H100 GPU is considered the "new gold" of the tech industry, as it is the preferred choice for providing computing power for generative AI. According to Omdia, NVIDIA sold about 500,000 A100 and H100 Gpus in the third quarter of 2023 and will continue to sell at a high level in the fourth quarter, with demand so high that the waiting time for H100 server orders is now 36 to 52 weeks.
