Key Foundry has signed a long-term supply agreement with Vishay that will help Key Foundry expands the production scale and provides Vishay wafers with power MOSFET chips used on automotive products, with mass production scheduled to begin in 2024. In addition, both side have also started the discussions on other future product developments.

Through this agreement, Vishay gains access to a reliable source of MOSFET production foundry services, while Key Foundry works with a big customer for automotive power discrete devices, which will increase its share of automotive semiconductor sales in the long run.

"With this agreement, we take another step forward in our plans to expand our capacity both internally and externally. In particular, it will help us mitigate current MOSFET supply constraints, especially for our automotive and industrial customers, "said Joel Smejkal, president and CEO of Vishay Corporation. "In evaluating foundry partners, we decided to partner with Key Foundry due to its foundry capabilities and responsiveness, and we look forward to realizing the synergies through our partnership with Key Foundry."

"We are excited to partner with Vishay, a leading automotive power semiconductor company," said Derek D. Lee, CEO of Key Foundry. "Key Foundry will continue to improve process technology, strengthen marketing, quality and production capabilities to expand automotive semiconductor offerings and grow into a leading specialty foundry."
